Packing for a trip can be a big task. One thing I never leave home without are my toiletries! Although there isn't a one-size-fits-all list, I thought it would be fun to share my typical items.
I've noticed when I travel with the same items, no matter if I'm camping, flying, or driving in the van, I experience less stress. I may have to transfer product into a different size container but at least I'm working with the same items. Keep it simple!
In the spirit of minimalism, my aim is to also use the least amount of products that will satisfy my ritual tendencies around getting ready for bed and waking up in the morning. I've often been teased about my products and how long I take but I will playfully argue that I am no different than any other morning coffee drinker brewing up a cup of joe.
It's not about the actual items but more about the act of taking time for myself, inhaling all the wonderful scents from the essentials oils, caring for my body and skin with longevity in mind, and feeling refreshed to start the day.
Let's get into it! Here are my favorite travel toiletry items.
*Note: not all items listed are in this photo.
Headband (to keep my hair from getting too much oil in it from my face)
Floss and tongue scraper
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Tweezers and nail clippers
Homemade face wash, face oil, and moisturizer (I'm obsessed)
Face SPF and body oil SPF
Carrier body oil (currently almond oil)
Dry shampoo powder
Essential oil rollers
Shampoo bar and conditioner
For some reason, I never got into using deodorant and only bring a few makeup items.
I've been using this toiletry bag one of my sisters handed down to me for years. I'm pretty sure it's 20 years old from an REI pack. It keeps everything aired out and it's easy to organize and see my products, plus it hangs on a hook.
